Welcome to the 2023 - 2024 school year!
Dear students & families,
Hello and welcome to Kindergarten! I am so thrilled to meet all of my new and wonderful students for the upcoming year. By staying positive and working together, we will ensure a bright year for you and your children.
This will be my sixth year teaching at Taunton School, and I've loved every minute of it! Being in the classroom and working with students and watching them grow in front of my very eyes is the most rewarding thing. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher! I graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education, and have obtained my master's degree from Georgian Court University for Literacy/Reading Specialist. Teaching is my favorite thing in the world, and I'm so excited to begin this new school year together!

Please review some tips & reminders!
1. Supplies
All kindergarten classes at Taunton have the same supply list which can be found on Taunton's main page if you click Parents>Supply List. I am also asking for students in my class to bring in a plastic pencil case/supply box labeled with their name.
2. Remind
We will be using the Remind app for our main point of contact throughout the school year.
Our class code for this school year is @gilmore-23
3. Snack
Students will be given time to have a snack in school. Please be sure to pack them a drink and a snack that they are capable of opening independently. Students should also bring a reusable water bottle to school.
4. Lunch
Students have the option to buy hot or cold lunches from the cafeteria. A menu is sent home each month. This can be done by creating an account on My School Bucks - also found on Taunton's website. Add money to your child's account, or send in money labeled with your child's name, and they will have a lunch card to take to the cafeteria each day which is used for payment. These cards stay in school.
5. Reach Out!
I am always here to address any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child's academic, social, behavioral, and emotional needs. Please email me if you need anything and I will get back to you as soon as I can! I am looking forward to a terrific year.
